Services / Database Development

All our websites run with databases.

Even the most simple have Content Management Systems that involve storing the details in a database.

MS SQL
We have specialised in writing to industry standard MS SQL which makes it easy for us to work with the data of most commercial businesses.

Almost everything we develop uses a SQL Server database because it offers good value for money and incredible performance. We have completed replications projects, have websites with thousands of daily visitors, applications with over a hundred concurrent users and we have even built a chat engine using SQL Server which serves thousands of chatters every day.

We’ve all heard the saying "Information is knowledge, knowledge is power" but information is nothing if it isn’t well structured and it’s worthless if you can’t make sense of it. We’re here to make your life simple by making sense of your information, and we`re experts at it.

Our SQL server is held on a RAID array of hard disks, backed up nightly and fully copied weekly to protect the safety of information saved.

The SQL server is hosted on our server in a secure environment with a managed firewall for additional protection.

Microsoft Access
Microsoft Access still struggles to be taken seriously as a development tool but there are probably far more databases built using this tool than anything else.

We have turned Access development into a fine art and can quickly and easily build complex applications with tonnes of useful functionality.

We also build Microsoft Access applications with a SQL Server back-end. This approach benefits from both Microsoft Access’ and SQL Server’s plus points i.e. fast development time, fast and secure application, no record locks and easily updateable after the application goes live.

Our extensive libraries mean that we will be able to build you a bespoke application or develop your existing systems at incredible value for money.

If your answer is yes to any of the following questions then you`re not alone. :

  • Do you have a range of mission critical Excel spreadsheets in your company? If so then they could almost definitely be combined into a single MS Access database greatly reducing the risk of loss, duplication and incorrect results

  • Do you have a number of MS Access database that members of staff have built over the years? The majority of our Access development work comes from companies desperate to sort their internal databases out.

  • Do you need a bespoke application to keep track of your customers, clients, stock, timesheets….? All of our customers need specific requirements that you can’t get from off-the-shelf software. MS Access provides the fastest, least expensive way to develop a tool that is designed for your business.

  • Did you have an external company or individual build an MS Access database for you? If so then they may well have walked away from the project and you’ve been left with a system you can’t develop.

  • Are you experiencing record locks with your existing MS Access database? Do you users get the message “Another user has changed this record?”. Our libraries are such that this will never happen

  • Is your MS Access database slow over the network? It could be time to upgrade to SQL Server or it might just be that the structure of your MS Access database needs sorting out.
